Commercial EV charger installation is a different discipline from residential work. Service capacity, conduit pathways, parking assignment, ADA compliance and phased expansion all matter before the first unit is mounted. Here is how we approach the four most common commercial project types.
Workplace charging
Level 2 charging ports for employee parking. Typically 4 to 12 ports per site, with load sharing across the circuit to stay within existing service capacity. Common for offices in Minneapolis, Eden Prairie and Bloomington.

Higher-power Level 2 or DC fast charging for company vehicles that return to a central depot. Scheduled charging, load management and dedicated sub-panels are standard scope.

Shared charging for residents in apartment and condo buildings. Requires coordination with property management, consideration of parking assignment, and often a load-sharing strategy for the building service.

Customer-facing charging as an amenity. Site assessment includes parking lot layout, ADA-compliant placement, bollards, signage and payment or access integration depending on the station type.

Electrical service and capacity
- Existing service size and available capacity
- Transformer and utility service details
- Panel space and whether a sub-panel or service upgrade is required
- Existing continuous loads — HVAC, refrigeration, lighting, machinery
- Distance from the electrical room to the proposed charger location
- Whether load-sharing or scheduled charging will be needed
If the site needs a service upgrade, we coordinate with the utility and your general contractor where applicable.
Site layout and long-term planning
- Parking layout and where chargers should be placed for cable reach
- ADA-compliant placement — one accessible stall per group where required
- Bollards, wheel stops and signage
- Conduit pathways that can support the ports you plan to add later
- Wall-mounted vs. pedestal-mounted stations
- Wi-Fi coverage for station networking and payment systems
We size conduit and panel capacity for the ports you plan to add in phases, not just the initial install. That saves significant money over re-trenching or re-running circuits later.

You get a fixed proposal with a scope, timeline and phased expansion option. We pull the permit with the local authority.
Installation
Sub-panel, conduit runs, station mounting, terminations and torque testing — scheduled around building access.
Commissioning & handoff
Networking, payment system setup, live charging verification, inspection, and documentation package.
